As the newly crowned state rodeo queen Middelton received a $7,000 educational scholarship, a buckle, saddle, perpetual chaps, perpetual crown, and other various awards provided by our generous sponsors from the western industry. Jessica Schmidt, the Miss Rodeo California Sponsorship Coordinator says, “Thanks to all of our wonderful sponsors, each young lady received a contestant goodie bag during orientation. At coronation they were awarded category prizes; such as, gift certificates, trophy bracelets, a buckle frame and bronc halters. None of this would be possible without each individual and the companies that believe in supporting the Miss Rodeo California pageant and western way of life with its strong morals and values.”

McKensey Middleton has also been awarded the prestigious opportunity to represent California traveling the state and nation as well as finishing her year competing in the Miss Rodeo America 2024 Pageant. The Miss Rodeo America Pageant is held in December each year in conjunction with the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“We love coming back to the central coast and San Luis Obipo is truly the most majestic place to hold our pageant! The community of SLO are amazing individuals that have welcomed us with open arms. We are looking forward to watching McKensey’s year unfold,” Markie Battaglia, Miss Rodeo California Inc National Director, said.

“Miss Rodeo California, Inc. provides a platform for a young woman to represent her home state of California and promote our western heritage, but also seeks to present the young woman with a scholarship for her higher education.
